After Great Britain affirmed its group for its 2019 World Championships in 24, dina Asher-Smith will pick the 100m and 200m sprint.
Laura Muir will concentrate on the 1500m instead of insert the 5,000m in the event, which occurs from 27 September to 6 October.
Zharnel Hughes and adam Gemili will both contest that the men's 100m and 200m dash twice.
Heptathlete Katarina Johnson-Thompson is also in the GB squad.
"Considering that the standard of performances from British athletes this past year, and the strength in depth we possess in a number of events, finalising the group was far from simple and there were a few difficult choices to make," explained British Athletics performance director Neil Black.
"In the 72 athletes, I believe we've chosen the strongest team potential to compete for medals on the global stage.
"The team is full of world-class athletes that over the past two years since we had been hosts in London have shown they belong on the global stage.
"We have selected more women than guys once again for a significant championships."
Black also said a"special mention" needed to go to Martyn Rooney, that has been picked in the 4x400m relay squad and is taking part in his eighth World Championships.

Dina Asher-Smith and Katarina Johnson-Thompson would be the medal hopes in the team named.
When she finished second in the 200m at the Diamond League final in 21, asher-Smith underlined her medal chances.
Last year johnson-Thompson is place for a gold medal showdown with the champion Nafissatou Thiam at a replica of the duel for the gold in Berlin.
Laura Muir is the world's third fastest within 1500m this year but has to overcome a recent accident and the men's 4x100m relay team defend the title they won at such style in London.
