Castleford and Huddersfield have expanded a swap deal between utility back Jordan Rankin and second-rower Joe Wardle.
Rankin transferred to the Tigers on loan with Wardle returning Huddersfield within the deal, in the beginning of the 2019 Super League season, and both players will now remain with their clubs to get 2020.
Tigers coach Daryl Powell is delighted to secure the help of Rankin, a 27-year-old Australian who scored 18 goals and 11 tries in 22 appearances in 2019.
"Jordan has been excellent for us this season and we are thrilled to have him on board moving forward," Powell explained.
"He has been a excellent player for us, particularly when he moved into full-back, so I am absolutely delighted he will be with us next year and I am convinced he will reach additional heights as a player at the Tigers."
Rankin said:"I can not tell you that the last time I have been as happy playing for a group as I am now playing Cas."
28, is excited about renewing the household venture next year, who played for the Giants from 2011 to 2016, tied up with younger brother Jake in his return and, even following an injury-hit season.
"I am delighted to be playing the Giants in 2020," Wardle said.
"I am excited to be back in a club with my brother and watch his development in addition to work hard for both sides again."
