As a Result of a rash of Accidents, the Philadelphia Eagles Seem like the NFL pick for Sunday's Match against the visiting Detroit Lions.

The Detroit Lions (1-0-1 SU, 1-1 ATS) are undefeated through the first two matches of the season. That's pretty good, right? Well, the Lions looked just like a mediocre group coming into 2019, and as stated by the DVOA stats at Football Outsidersthey are what we thought they were: No. 14 overall in efficiency.

That's only four areas beneath the Philadelphia Eagles (1-1 SU, 0-2 ATS), mind you. And with most of the injuries Philadelphia have endured, we are actually going to put the Lions within our NFL picks for Sunday's matchup (1:00 p.m. ET, FOX). Too bad they're already down from +8 in the open to +6.5 at the time, however. Timing is everything.
This could have been among the tightest traces in the Week 3 NFL odds board, if it hadn't been for those harms. Here Is What the projections have to state:

FiveThirtyEight: Philadelphia --6
Jeff Sagarin: Detroit --0.28, 44.88 complete
Wait, what? The numbers at The USA Today of jeff Sagarin appear to be around the map for this competition -- for the most part, his projections like the Lions to win by a hair, although his general Rating're being used by us here. That does speak to the problems Philadelphia has experienced on protection, issues we saw at last week's 24-20 loss to the Atlanta Falcons (+1 in the home).
Things are likely to get worse. DT Timmy Jernigan struck his foot in Atlanta a Lisfranc injury was suffered by DT Malik Jackson and was lost for the year later. And the offense is in issue: WR DeSean Jackson is two weeks with a stomach strain, while WR Alshon Jeffery and TE Dallas Goedert are iffy at best with crab breeds.
